Being ORGANIC comes natural to us

Organic production focuses on what is natural and necessary, for the highest level of welfare with the least environmental impact. That’s why dyes, sweeteners, flavor enhancers and other unnecessary additives are not used. Organic farming means being able to reap the fruits that our land offers us naturally. Numerous hardy varieties are growing on our land, without the need for herbicide and insecticide. That is why we do not turn to GMOs, that are not a part of our culture. For a fruitful harvest you only need natural fertility of the land and good farming practices, not chemical fertiliser.

We are born and raised in the Park of the Serio river. The respect for the nature that hosts us has always been a part of our family and business philosophy. Thanks to the solar light, today a good part of the company is powered by a renewable energy source.

Our catalogue was designed and realised with environmental sustainability in mind

We chose the FLORA paper, developed with 50% of pre-consumer recycled paper, 40% of cellulose ECF (elemental chlorine free) and 10% of cotton.

Even the structure assembling the catalogue is entirely built with recycled wood.

For the Valserio BIO line we decided to use eco-friendly packaging to reduce environmental impact. For the cold cuts we use trays with 70% less plastic then the traditional ones, and for the lower part we use thermoformable paper FSC certified, entirely recyclable. The deli-counter baked hams are wrapped in 100% transparent sack to limit the use of plastics, papers and label’s ink.
